Another design collection added, MJ Hawker depicted from Hawker Fury.
The Hawker Fury was a British biplane fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force in the 1930s. It was a fast, agile aircraft, and the first interceptor in RAF service capable of speed higher than 200 mph. It was the fighter counterpart to the Hawker Hart light bomber.
The Buildlog
Building this model was a smooth sailing. No complicated parts need trimming except for the rudder and wing section. Overall from tracing the plan to depron, depron cut out process, and hot glued assembly took me roughly around 2 days.
Tricky parts that need a proper alignment during assembly |
The wing struts need a bit longer in order for a proper gluing |
Bottom wing is glued to the fuselage |
Wing strut from the bottom wing view |
Top wing struts |
Bottom wing need 10 degree angle while top wing can have 3 degree angle |
Front compartment access can have optional cover or leave it open |
I decide to have it open for easy access and for the sake of this 1st version. |
Glued the stabilizer to the fuselage tail |
Body weight w/o electronics |
